# How intercompany notifications work in COUNT

COUNT keeps both companies informed about what happens on an intercompany link. Everyone in a workspace sees in-app notifications, and the workspace owner gets email alerts by default.

## **What triggers a notification**
| Area | You're notified when |
| ---- | ---- |
| Links | A link is proposed, accepted, paused, resumed or revoked |
| Entries | An entry is posted or voided |
| Drift | The two sides' balances drift apart |
| Write-offs | A write-off is posted or disputed |

## **Change who gets email alerts**
Email alerts are on by default and go to the workspace owner.
1. Go to **Settings > Notification Settings**

1. Find **Receive Intercompany Alerts**.
2. Add the email addresses you want, or switch the alerts off.
Each workspace has its own setting, so repeat this in the other linked workspace if you want the same people alerted there.

## **Common questions**
### **Why didn't I get an email about drift?**
* The nightly drift summaries are in-app only and never emailed. Check the notifications in COUNT, or the link's **Drift** tab.
### **Can I stop drift notifications while I fix the problem?**
* Yes. On the link's **Drift** tab, click **Snooze 7 Days** to pause drift notifications for a week. For how to find and fix drift, see **How to record and manage intercompany transactions in COUNT**.
### **Nobody on the other side has accepted my link request**
* Everyone in that workspace was notified, but only an owner or admin there can accept it. Ask one of them to open **Settings > Intercompany** and accept the link.
