How to Add a Person in COUNT

Learn how to add and manage people, enter key details, and unlock management features for your team.

Adding a person to COUNT allows you to track their roles, manage expenses, and keep them organized in your system. Follow the steps below to add a new individual:

Step 1: Navigate to People Section

  1. Go to Contacts & Products in the left navigation menu.

  2. Select People from the dropdown.

  3. Click on the "Add Person" button located in the top right of the screen.

Step 2: Enter Basic Details

On the Add Person screen, fill out the following required fields:

  • First Name and Last Name

  • Email Address: Essential for communication.

  • Mobile Number and Home Phone (optional)

Step 3: Provide Address Information

Input the person's address details, which include:

  • Address (Street address, City, State, Postal Code)

  • Country (you can choose from the dropdown)

This information is necessary for tax documentation, mailing, and other location-based purposes.

Step 4: Select Worker Type

Choose the worker type that best fits the individual's role:

  • Employee: Full-time or part-time individual receiving wages.

  • Contractor: Hired to perform specific tasks or projects for a fixed duration.

  • Volunteer, Donor, or Other: For individuals who don't fit traditional roles but are still associated with the business.

Step 5: Fill in Compensation Information

  • Position: Enter the job title.

  • Pay Type: Select whether the person is paid hourly, salaried, or on a different schedule.

  • Wage: Enter the amount (per hour or annually).

Step 6: Enter Tax Information

  • Input the person's tax details, including their Tax Number, Employer Identification Number (EIN), or Social Security Number (SSN).

  • Include the Business Name or Entity Name if applicable.

Step 7: Unlock Management Features (Optional)

You can enable additional management features, such as:

  • Time Tracking: Enable clock-in/out tracking.

  • Sales Rep Tracking: Monitor sales performance.

  • Expense Claim Reporting: Allow them to submit expenses directly.

For just $8/month per person, these powerful features streamline operations like payroll and expense tracking.

Step 8: Finalize and Add Person

After completing the above steps, click the "Add" button to finish the process. The individual will receive an email guiding them on how to join and access COUNT.

By following these steps, you'll have the new person successfully added to COUNT and ready to manage!
