Efficiently managing your products and services in COUNT is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory levels, pricing, and sales data. This article will guide you through the available options and actions in the Products & Services listing page, helping you to stay on top of your stock, pricing, and service details.

The Products & Services listing page displays the following columns to provide a comprehensive overview of your inventory and services:

Name

This column displays the name of the product or service as entered during the setup process. Click the name to view or edit detailed information about the product or service.

Purchase Price

Shows the price at which you purchase the product or service from your vendor or supplier. For services, this can be the internal cost associated with providing the service.

Sell Price

Displays the price at which the product or service is sold to customers. Keeping this updated ensures that your financial reports reflect accurate revenue.

Stock

For physical products, this column indicates the current stock quantity available.

  • Pro Tip: Keeping your stock updated helps prevent over-selling and ensures smooth inventory management.

  • Track History: Clicking the History button opens a flyout panel on the right side of the screen, showing the stock’s historical changes. This feature helps you track stock adjustments and understand how your inventory levels have changed over time.

Use this history to identify when stock was added or removed, helping with inventory audits and accuracy.

Tax

Displays any applicable taxes that are automatically applied when invoicing the product or service. You can add default tax rates during product setup, ensuring proper tax handling across sales.

Time Entry Service

For service-based businesses, this checkbox indicates whether the item is available for logging time entries in timesheets and project tracking. You can check or uncheck the box directly from the listing page, making it easy to manage time-based services.

Status (Active/Inactive)

This column shows whether the product or service is currently active or inactive. Active products and services are available for use in estimates, invoices, and sales transactions. Inactive items are hidden but not deleted, allowing you to reactivate them later if needed.

Actions

In the Actions column, you have quick access to several important management tools for each product or service:

  • Edit
    Clicking the Edit button opens the product or service details, allowing you to update information such as pricing, inventory levels, tax, or other settings.

  • Delete
    The Delete button allows you to remove a product or service from your list. Deleting an item is permanent, so be sure before taking this action. It is recommended to mark a product or service as Inactive rather than deleting it if you no longer offer it but may need it for future use.


By understanding and managing the various columns and options in the Products & Services page, you can maintain accurate records for pricing, inventory, and service management.
