Accessing the Timesheet Overview Report

  1. Go to the Reports section under the Employee & Time Management header.

  2. Select Timesheet Overview Report from the list.

Once in the Timesheet Overview Report, you'll have various options to customize the view based on your specific needs.

Customizable Filters and Grouping Options

The Timesheet Overview Report offers several filters and grouping options to help you focus on the most relevant data:

  • Date Range: Choose a predefined period (e.g., "This Week") or set custom start and end dates.

Pro Tip: For payroll purposes, try setting the Date Range to your payroll cycle (e.g., weekly or biweekly) to quickly generate and export a payroll report without extra adjustments.

  • People: Select specific team members or view time entries for all users.

  • Group By: Customize how you want to see the data organized. Options include:

    • Group by Person: View total hours per individual.

    • Group by Person and Project: See hours logged per individual and break down time by each project they worked on.

    • Group by Person, Project, and Services: Further detail the report by showing specific services within each project, making it easy to identify how time was spent on various tasks.

Pro Tip: Use the Group by Person, Project, and Services option to get the most granular view of your team’s efforts. This grouping allows you to see not only the time spent on each project but also the specific services or tasks within those projects, making it easier to track project budgets and plan future resource needs.

Understanding the Report Layout

In the report view, you'll see:

  • Daily Time Logs: Time entries are displayed by day, making it easy to see how many hours were logged on each date.

  • Project and Service Breakdown: With detailed grouping, view the hours allocated to each project and specific services within projects.

  • Total Time Calculations: The report calculates total hours for each individual and category, simplifying payroll preparation and performance analysis.
