Learn how to update transaction details to keep your records accurate and up-to-date.

In COUNT, managing and fine-tuning your transaction details is a breeze. Here's how you can effortlessly edit transaction details to ensure your financial records are accurate and up-to-date:

  1. Access Transaction Details: Simply click on any transaction within your account, and a transaction flyout will appear from the right, providing you with all the necessary details.

  2. Edit Transaction Details: Within the transaction flyout, locate and click on the "Edit" button to modify specific details. You can adjust the following:

    • Amount: Edit the transaction amount as needed.

    • Description: Update the transaction description for clarity.

    • Transaction Date: Modify the date of the transaction.

    • Transaction Account: Change the account associated with the transaction.

    • Once all desired modifications are made, simply click on the "Save" button to apply the changes and update the transaction details.

  3. Mark Transaction as Reviewed: Users can click on the "Review" button within the transaction flyout to mark the transaction as reviewed, ensuring proper oversight of financial activity.

  4. Additional Editing Options: Utilize dropdown menus and input fields below to further customize transaction details:

    • Category: Select a different category to categorize the transaction.

    • Vendors: Choose from existing vendors or create new ones for accurate tracking.

    • Tags: Add or modify tags to classify transactions for better organization.

    • Projects: Associate transactions with any relevant projects.

    • Notes: Provide additional context or information related to the transaction.

  5. Exclude Transactions: At the bottom of the transaction flyout, users have the option to exclude a transaction by toggling the "Exclude Transactions" switch. When enabled, excluded transactions will not factor into spending and budget calculations, providing flexibility in managing your financial data.

By following these straightforward steps, you can easily edit transaction details to maintain accurate financial records in COUNT.
