How to Assign Invoices to Reconciled Transactions in COUNT

Sometimes you may need to link an invoice to a transaction that has already been reconciled. COUNT makes this easy — you can update reconciled transactions safely while keeping your books accurate.

How to Assign an Invoice to a Reconciled Transaction

A step wise process is shared below:

  1. Open the transaction

Go to the Transactions tab and click on the transaction you want to link an invoice to.

  1. Use Admin Override

In the transaction flyout that appears on the right, click “Admin Override: Change Transaction.”

Note:This option is only available to users with Owner, Admin, or Accountant roles.

  1. Confirm the override

A pop-up will appear — click Yes to confirm.

  1. Open the category field

Click the Category field within the transaction flyout.

  1. Select the Invoice Payment tab

In the pop-up that appears, select the Invoice Payment tab.

  1. Choose the invoice(s)

From the list of available invoices, check the box for the invoice or invoices you want to assign.

  1. Apply the payment

Click Apply Payment to Invoice. This will keep your transaction reconciled and apply the payment to the selected invoice(s).

Pro Tip: Always double-check that you’re linking the right invoice to avoid duplicate payments or reconciliation mismatches.

And that’s all there is to it — your reconciled transaction now correctly reflects the invoice payment. If you need help, don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team.
