How to import your Chart Of Accounts into COUNT
You can import your Chart of Accounts into COUNT using a CSV or Excel file. This is useful when migrating from another accounting system or setting up your workspace for the first time.
Follow the steps below to complete the import:
- From the left-hand menu, click Accounting, then click the import icon.

- Upload your file by dragging and dropping a CSV or Excel file, or by clicking upload to select it from your computer.
Make sure all accounts are in a single file and that the first row contains column headers.
Click Next to continue.

Note: The maximum file size allowed is 350KB.
- Review the column matching. In the file preview, you can view up to 50 rows of your imported file to cross-check the data while mapping columns. Any column that isn’t mapped (showing No match found) won’t be imported.
Once everything looks correct, click Next.

- Review the row matching. You’ll see a preview of all accounts that are ready to be imported. Click Next to start the import. A message will appear indicating that the account import is in progress. This process may take up to 2–3 minutes, please do not navigate away from the page.

Note: Some default accounts are required for COUNT’s automation features and cannot be deactivated.
Once the import is complete, you’ll see a confirmation message letting you know that your Chart of Accounts has been successfully imported.
