How to Send an SMS from Count Practice Manager

Count Practice Manager’s Inbox allows you to communicate directly with your clients from one centralized place. You can send SMS messages, view message history, manage client details, and keep internal notes, all without leaving the Practice Manager workspace.

This guide walks you through how to send a new inbox message to a client.

1. Navigate to the Inbox

  1. Log in to Count Practice Manager.
  2. From the top navigation menu, click Inbox.

You will see a list of all current conversations on the left and the message window in the center.

2. Select a Client Conversation or Start a New One

You can either:

Option A: Select an existing conversation
  • Click on any client name from the conversation list to open the message thread.

Option B: Start a new message
  • Click Send New Message at the top of the conversation panel.
  • Search for the client by name.
  • Select the client to open a new message window.

3. Type Your Message

At the bottom of the message window, you’ll see the Type Your Reply box.

  1. Enter your message in the text field.
  2. (Optional) Add attachments or emojis if needed.
  3. Review your message for accuracy.

4. Send the Message

  • Click the green send arrow button to deliver the message.
  • Or press Return on your keyboard to send.

Your message will appear on the right side of the conversation thread. Note that when a message is successfully delivered, it will show “Delivered” below the text along with the time.

Messaging Costs and Allowances

Count provides a monthly allowance of free SMS messages that varies by region. Once the allowance is used, additional messages will incur a small cost.

United States
  • 100 messages per month free
  • Additional messages cost USD $0.01 per message

New Zealand
  • 10 messages per month free
  • Additional messages cost NZD $0.20 per message

Your message usage resets each billing cycle.
