Managing Contractors in COUNT: Everything You Need to Know

COUNT gives you a powerful, streamlined interface to manage contractors with ease—from onboarding and compliance tracking to time entry and payment summaries. Whether you’re handling one contractor or a full remote team, here’s how you can manage it all inside the People & Contractors section.


Overview of the Listing Page



The People & Contractors page is your central dashboard to view and manage all workers—including Employees, Contractors, Volunteers, Donors, and Others.



Tabs & Filters: Use category tabs (like “Contractors” or “Employees”) or the “Show Contractors (1099 only)” toggle to quickly narrow your view.
Search & Role Filters: Search by name or use the dropdown filter by Role (e.g., Sales Rep, Time Tracking) to focus on specific users.
Key Info Displayed:

Name & Contact Info
Type (e.g., Contractor)
Group (if assigned)
Roles: Shows which workforce features are active—like Expense Reporting, Time Tracking, or Sales Rep.
Paid YTD: Displays year-to-date compensation.
Active Toggle: Instantly activate or deactivate a contractor.
Actions:

🔗 Green link icon indicates account setup is complete
📄 View or edit details


Viewing Contractor Details



Clicking on any contractor row opens a detailed profile with:

Contact Information: Name, email, phone, and mailing address.
Tax Details: Including 1099 status and relevant compliance fields.
Compensation Info: Role, pay type (hourly or salary), and wage.
Workforce Feature Toggles: Shows whether Time Tracking, Sales Rep tracking, or Expense Reporting is turned on.
Notes Section: For storing any internal comments.

Only the People & Contractors page allows you to edit contractor details—ensuring centralized control over workforce records.


Managing Time with Timesheets



If Time Tracking is enabled, you can click into the Timesheet tab for any contractor to view or enter logged hours:



Weekly View



Displays the current week’s date range (e.g., May 04 – May 10)
Shows:

Total Hours
Billable Hours
Unbillable Hours
Daily breakdown across Sunday–Saturday
Add new rows by selecting a Project and Service for each entry.

Full Report View



Click “View Full Report” to:

Filter by date range, project, or service
See total hours worked, payables, and breakdowns across time periods
Export or print for audits or payroll processing

Pro Tips



Use Roles to Sort: Assigning roles like Sales Rep or enabling Expense Reporting makes it easy to segment your workforce.
Monitor Activity: Use the Active toggle and Paid YTD to spot inactive or unpaid contractors quickly.
Confirm Setup: Look for the green chain link icon in the Actions column to confirm a contractor has completed their account setup.

By centralizing contractor management in one intuitive interface, COUNT ensures you stay compliant, collaborative, and efficient—no spreadsheets or back-and-forth emails required.
