How to Invite Your Accountant or Bookkeeper to Your Workspace

To get started with COUNT, your workspace needs to be linked to your accountant or bookkeeper—this ensures they can access your records, review your transactions, and support you directly within the platform.

Here’s how to invite them in just a few clicks.

Steps to Invite Your Accountant

Go to the Top-Left Workspace Menu

  • Click on your workspace name in the top-left corner of COUNT.
  • From the dropdown menu, select Manage Team.

Choose "Invite Accountant/Bookkeeper"

  • On the right side of the screen, click the Invite Accountant/Bookkeeper button.

Enter Their Email Address

  • In the pop-up that appears, type your accountant’s or bookkeeper’s email address.
  • Click Send Invite.

That’s it! This sends a connection request to their COUNT profile. Once accepted, your workspace will be linked with their practice.

What Happens Next?

  • Your accountant will receive a notification inside their COUNT Practice Manager.
  • Once they accept the request, your workspace becomes accessible to them, allowing for seamless collaboration.

Pro-tip: If your accountant hasn’t signed up for COUNT yet, they’ll receive an email prompting them to create an account. Once they do, they can accept your invitation right away from their Practice Manager.

For Bookkeepers: Accepting Client Invites

If you're a bookkeeper using COUNT, here’s how to accept invitations from client workspaces.

Open Practice Manager

  • In the header, click Manage Practice.
Go to the “Client Invites” Tab
  • You’ll see a list of all pending workspace connection requests.
    Click “Accept”
  • Accepting a request will link that client’s workspace to your practice. You’ll now be able to manage and access their financials.

Why This Matters

Client invites are how COUNT links accounting firms to client workspaces. Once connected, you can:

  • Manage multiple clients in one place
  • Assign staff to each workspace
  • Use workflows and automations across your practice
