How to Use History & Audit in COUNT

COUNT’s History & Audit experience gives you better visibility into activity across your accounting records.
You can see what happened, what changed, who made the change, and when the activity occurred. The audit log also provides filtering options to help you find specific activity more easily.


Audit History Is Available For

Audit history is available for:

  • Invoices
  • Bills
  • Journal Entries
  • Recurring Invoice Templates
  • Bill Batch Payments
  • Transactions


How to Access the Audit Log

To view the Audit Log:

  1. Go to Settings and scroll down to the Configuration section.
  2. Click Audit Logs.

The Audit Log page will open and display activity recorded in your workspace.



Filter Audit Activity

The Audit Log includes filters that allow you to narrow down the activity you want to review.


Entity

Use the Entity filter to view activity for a specific type of record.
The available entity options include:

  • Transaction
  • Invoice
  • Estimate
  • Credit Memo
  • Bill
  • Vendor Memo
  • Journal Entry
  • Recurring Template


User

Use the user filter to view activity performed by a specific user.
By default, the filter is set to All Users, allowing you to view activity performed by all users in the workspace.


Audit Log Details

Each activity appears in the Audit Log with the following information:

Column

Description

Details

Describes the action or change that occurred.

Entity

Shows the type of record affected.

Event

Shows the type of activity that occurred.

When

Shows the date and time the activity occurred.

Who

Shows the user who performed the action.



Why Use the Audit Log?

The Audit Log helps you:

  • Review activity across your workspace.
  • Identify who made a change.
  • See when an action occurred.
  • Understand changes made to accounting records.
  • Investigate unexpected changes or deleted records.
  • Monitor activity across different record types.


With History & Audit, you have a more consistent and useful way to track activity across your accounting records and understand what happened, what changed, who made the change, and when it happened.
