How to Review and Resolve Items After a QuickBooks Migration

When migrating your accounting data from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to COUNT, most records are automatically converted and imported into your COUNT workspace.
However, some records may require additional review before they can be fully added to COUNT. These items appear in the QBO migration review section so you can review, update, and resolve them.

This guide explains why these items appear and how to review and resolve them.

Why Do Items Require Review?

COUNT uses its own accounting controls and logic to convert data from QuickBooks Online.
If a record from QBO does not fit COUNT's supported controls or accounting logic, it may be placed in the migration review section instead of being automatically posted.
This gives you the opportunity to review the record and make any necessary changes before it is added to COUNT.

Where Can I Find Items That Require Review?

To access the migration review section:

  1. Open the migrated workspace in COUNT.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Integrations.
  4. Click on Manage QBO.
  5. Click Open Sync.

What Types of Items Can Appear?

Depending on the data in your QuickBooks Online account, different types of records may require review.
These may include:

  • Transactions
  • Journal entries
  • Invoices
  • Bills
  • Other accounting records that could not be automatically converted

The available items will depend on the data included in your QuickBooks Online account and how those records are handled during the migration.

How to Review an Item

Each item that requires attention will provide information about the record and the action needed.
Review the details carefully to determine whether the record needs to be edited, updated, or otherwise corrected before it can be added to COUNT.
When you're ready, select the available Resolve action for the item.
Depending on the type of record, you may need to make changes to the original information before COUNT can successfully process it.

What Happens After an Item Is Resolved?

Once an item has been successfully resolved, COUNT can continue processing the record and post it to the workspace.
You should review the migration page again after resolving items to make sure there are no remaining records that require action.
If additional items are listed, review and resolve them as needed.
